Intermittent Fasting is a pattern of eating with breaks in between.The breaks mean fasting here involving intake of only water.This article lists the benefits of Intermittent Fasting.
The studies on intermittent fasting started around 1943.Some of the benefits of this type of fasting proved experimentally are:

- Similarly,if the fasting is carried out with a day’s break for every three day fasting plan, then the life span is found to be increased by 56.6%.
- It is a known fact that long standing diabetic patients have the risk of getting their kidneys affected.This condition is called diabetic nephropathy. Intermittent Fasting significantly improves the biochemical parameters which delay the process of diabetic nephropathy.
Though there are many fascinating benefits found out about intermittent fasting, experts are of the opinion that we should never skip our breakfast and should consult our family doctor from time to time .
